The Maharani Academy
Corinna Maharani, founder of Maharani Ayurveda, an Ayurvedic healing practice, and Pancha Karma Center in Santa Barbara, is proud to announce the launch of the Maharani Academy. After twenty-five years of joyfully offering Ayurveda to her patients, teaching and training hundreds of students in the healing wisdom, practices, and medicine of the ancient system of Ayurveda, she has dedicated herself to the creation of an innovative online and hands-on educational certification platform. With a special focus on the transformative powers of Sacred Bodywork™, Marma Therapy and Pancha Karma, the Maharani Academy provides in-depth learning experiences and advanced vocational training to health care professionals.
The Maharani Academy has a unique signature style of training. Through the 3 Gateways of Learning, we help students grasp the material intellectually, soulfully, and tactfully, to bring a sense of grace and professionalism into everything they do. Training practitioners to build sustainable practices that promote radiant health, committed self-care, and artful living raises the standards of wellness and brings restorative balance and happiness to people, one treatment at a time.
Ultimately, the goal of the Maharani Academy is to build "Sharanam” (In Buddhist tradition, the word for "to take refuge”), a beautiful and artful Ayurvedic center for healing and education, which will host the Maharani Academy and adjacent Pancha Karma Clinic. Sharanam will be offered as a sacred container to guide all people toward a renewed and healthy connection to one another, to nature, and to the aspiration for kinship with all.
Maharani Academy is a NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) approved PACE credit provider and organizational member since 2003, and has gained national recognition for promoting the highest of standards in Ayurveda and Pancha Karma education. To keep abreast with NAMA requirements, the Academy has instituted training hours and certification requirements with the highest regard for its professional Pancha Karma training. Whether you seek certification in the professional training course or wish to take an introductory course in Ayurveda, we are here to support you in your learning.
May the ambrosial gift of Ayurveda bring you peace, beauty and an expanded, heartfelt link to your inner being and our precious planet.
The name Maharani is a direct derivative of the founder’s legal last name, which translates from Sanskrit as “Great Queen.” It embodies the over-arching mission of the Academy -- to embrace the Divine Feminine as reflected in Mother Nature -- and to deepen our connection to the grace and beauty of Ayurveda. The name also speaks of noble integrity, and informs the academy’s vow to treat all people with regal respect and honor.
